May 3rd, 2019 : A group gathered outside the Masjid Al-Jumu’ah mosque to expressed solidarity with a local family that faced a hate crime (Brick hurled into a Musim family’s home) United for Peace members stood with some loving community members to say NO TO HATE! We stood with love and peace placards outside the Masjid In Bolingbrook where a Muslim family was a victim of a hate crime this past weekend. The love we got back was amazing! The smiles, the waves, the honks, the kisses blown our way, little hands waving to us from their cars, the happiness on faces that we cared. They showered us with love and even got us food, water bottles, dates and chocolates. A gentleman went and picked up individual bouquet of roses for us. We felt that we went there to make them feel better, but instead, they made us feel beautifully loved!
