who we are
Who are we?
United for Peace was launched by citizens in the Chicagoland area in March 2019, who were very concerned by the growing intolerance, hate, polarization and accompanying violence in the US and many other parts of the world, and wanted to be proactive about addressing it. Our founding members strongly felt that the growing incidence of hate crimes and mass shootings was unacceptable for the wellbeing of our children and future generations, and citizens had to come together to help people understand that violence was no solution to conflict and recognize our common humanity.
